This site is a tribute to Eileen. She is much loved and will always be remembered.
Agnes ‘Eileen’ Jones was born on 17th May 1939 in Tal Y Bont, North Wales. She was the seventh of nine children born to Sarah and Will Evans and had a happy childhood exploring the surrounding mountains and countryside.
After leaving school, Eileen worked in the local aluminium factory, looking forward to the weekends when she could go dancing with her sisters and friends. It was at a local dance where she met the Love of her life, Joe.
Eileen and Joe married on the 8th August 1959 and recently celebrated their 62nd Wedding anniversary. They had two boys, Roy & Gary, two Grandaughters Emma & Izzy and two great grandsons Mason & Arlo. For Eileen, family meant everything and was at her happiest in the company of her family or catching up on family news on the phone to her sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Eileen loved to travel which made her the perfect wife for Joe, leaving North Wales at an early age to join him around the country to his various RAF postings and even living in Libya for two years. She became an expert at packing up belongings and creating a loving home wherever life took them.
In later life Eileen never lost her love of travel and enjoyed holidays across Europe and America and always incorporated her love of walking on these trips. She loved spending time pottering in the garden and soaking up the sun, always with a cup of tea and a crossword on the go.
Eileen will be very sadly missed by her family and all who knew her. Her warm smile, gentle ways and loving support will always be remembered.
